Pelican is pleased to announce our bear-proof certification by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC).

The goal of this certification is to help keep bears safe and significantly reduce encounters between bears and humans. To do this, we must ensure that bears do not have access to, or are not conditioned or attracted to anthropogenic or other foods that increase such encounters.

This certification involves intensive impact and penetration testing using visual inspection, mechanical methods, and testing on captive grizzly bears over long periods of time.
